Retrospectiva Rebecca Warren la Serpentine Gallery
Rebecca Warren was shortlisted for the Turner prize in 2006 - now she's getting her first major retrospective.
"Wandering through Rebecca Warren's Serpentine Gallery show is a pleasurable experience, until you find yourself among the dead. The title says it all: We Are Dead. Here are a bunch of grey clay lumps, paint daubed here and there into their gnarly surfaces, like the mould on funerary statues in overgrown cemeteries. I start to see faces and limbs, an ear, a mouth, a fist or a breast - but the human clay seems to be reverting to mud. This dumb assembly might be waiting for something, on their closely grouped plinths: I just hope it isn't me."

Gerhard Richter la National Portrait Gallery, London
O fotogalerie pentru delectarea publicului cititor.
Gerhard Richter, 'the grandaddy of contemporary painting', is being celebrated at the National Portrait Gallery in the first major exhibition of his portrait paintings. His hyperreal figures, derived from photographs, subtly skew the photorealist tradition and alongside his seductive abstract paintings, arguably make him the world's most influential living artist. Thirty-five key works are to go on show from 26th February, including a portrait of Richter's daughter Ella, which is to be exhibited for the first time.

London Biotopes: Exploring potential City - Body ecologies
